My Story

I'm an Ottawa-based journalist, storyteller, and communications professional who believes strong reporting begins with listening, and that the best stories come from taking the time to understand the people at their centre.
 

My work has appeared in Capital Current, The Charlatan, University Affairs, the Glebe Report, and Ricepaper Magazine, covering culture, identity, immigration, local arts, and the quiet but essential stories that often go untold. I also write music and film reviews that place creative work in its social and cultural context. My reporting on K-pop and Korean identity in Canada won Gold at the 2025 NNC/CAJ Student Journalism Award of Excellence, and I was named a 2026 CJF Bursary recipient for BIPOC Student Journalists, supported by Media Profile.
 

Beyond the newsroom, I have worked across both sides of the media industry. At University Affairs, I contributed to research, fact-checking, pitching, and editorial planning alongside a national team. As a Digital Communications Intern at the Global Entrepreneurship Network, I produced email marketing, social media content, press releases, and strategic communications for a global audience, deepening my understanding of how storytelling translates across different contexts, platforms, and communities.
 

Currently, I work across three roles simultaneously. As a Contributing Writer for Arts Help, I produce weekly arts and culture journalism for a global platform of 21 million members. As a Volunteer Marketer at NuVista Mental Health, I create social media content and graphics supporting neurofeedback engagement initiatives, adapting communications for a healthcare audience with care and professionalism. And as Personal Assistant Intern at Moon Mgmt, I support artist across grant and funding applications, music platform management, radio submissions, and creative operations, sitting at the intersection of music, communications, and project coordination.

I pitch independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate closely with editors and teams to strengthen the work. I bring technical skills across Adobe Audition, Rush, Photoshop, Canva, and CapCut.
